Tata Motors claimed that Prima trucks can generate a maximum of 560 bhp and carry loads of 75 tonnes, definitely beating the same rage of truck like Mahindra Navistar or Volvo combine who promise a maximum power output of 325 bhp and a maximum load capacity of 49 tonnes.

Tata Prima is little costlier than the Tatas normal truck. Approximately 21.5 Lakhs is the cost of Prima 40 tonne model with 280 horsepower while the same range of Tatas 40 tonnes with 180 horsepower having the cost around 15.5 Lakhs.
