Naduvath & Meledath is a temple complex at Thrikkalangode near Manjeri which has a traditional and history going back to three millennium or perhaps more than that. The twin Devaswams Naduvath &Meledath have a glorious past and legacy that can be traced back to the Zamorians of Kozhikode and renowned poomulli Mana. The Sanctum Sanctorum (Sreekovil) of the presiding deity Lord Siva with two faces, one of fury (Roudram) and the other of tranquility (Santham) is surrounded by deities (upadevathas) Lord Mahaganapathy, God of Benevolence Vettakkorumakan and Lord Ayyappa, the Kaliyuga Varadan.
The Mahavishnu Kshetram at Thrikkalangode is one of the ancient temples in Kerala. This temple is also counted among the 108 Temples & Celestial Abodes of Vishnu, which make a Vaishnavite`s pilgrimage itinerary, in India.
Earliest references to this temple appear in the poems . Old stone inscriptions in the temple date it back to the second Chera Empire (800 – 1102 AD).
