Canoe (Kayak) Slalom is a competitive sport where the aim is to navigate a decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging gates on river rapids in the fastest time possible. Slalom canoeing made its Olympic debut in 1972.The course for canoe(Kayak) slalom is 250m-400m long through up to 25 gates. The distance between the last gate and the finish line must be no less than 15m and must be no more than 25m.
