Knockout Round, Round of 16 of FIFA World Cup 2010 is Started on 26th June 2010. Knockout Round is the Second Round of the World Cup, after the group stage matches, and it is through the 16 teams who selected from the group stage matches
The Second Round of FIFA World Cup is known as Round of 16 it is just before the Quarter Final. In this round 16 teams will play together in 8 matches and the winners from these eight matches will select to the next round that is the semi final. This is the knockout round for every team because the team will out if fail in a single match. So the victory is needed for every team to go on.
Eight matches in these stages are Uruguay Vs Korea DPR, USA Vs Ghana, Argentina Vs Mexico, Germany Vs England, Netherlands Vs Slovakia, Brazil Vs Chile, Paraguay Vs Japan and Spain Vs Portugal.

Spain had beaten Portugal by 1-0 in their pre quarter match on 29th June. David VILLA made the breakthrough for Spain in 63rd minute. RICARDO COSTA of Portugal got the red card in 89th minute.

Paraguay Vs Japan in per-quarter of FIFA world cup 2010, the match was draw in 90 minutes, A goalless end in both halftimes and also draw in special extra time. Then penalty shootout is taken, first in this world cup. That is an interesting game, both teams are scored first two shots, third shot scored by Paraguay and Komano of Japan lost his shot just on the cross bar. In forth both are score and score is 4-3 then Paraguay scored fifth as 5-3 and made the history, Paraguay were elected to the Quarter final first time in World cup history.

Brazil won over Chile by 3-0 and elected to the last Eight, Quarter Final. Juan made the breakthrough for Brazil in 35th minutes and Luis Fabiano after 3 minutes fired in to the Chile post. After the half time break Robinho scored the third goal for Brazil.

Netherlands win over Slovakia and elected to the last eight and Slovakia were out of the world cup. After 18 minutes of the game started Arjen ROBBEN made the breakthrough for Netherlands and Wesley SNEIJDER in 84th minute. Robert VITTEK of Slovakia returned one at extra time in a penalty. Netherlands will play their Quarter final match on 2nd July at 7:30 pm Indian time against Match 54, Brazil.

Argentina wins over Mexico by 3-1 in their round of 16 match on 27th June. Carlos TEVEZ of Argentina got two goals against Mexico and he is elected as Man of the Match. And Gonzalo HIGUAIN fired once in to the Mexican post in 33rd minute. Three goals before the half time break, and after that in Second half in 71st minute Javier HERNANDEZ a beautiful return to Argentinean post. Argentina elected to the last eight and will play against Germany in Quarter final on 3rd July 7:30 pm Indian time.

Germany had beaten England by 4-1 in their Round of 16 math in Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein. Germany was easily entered in to the last eight, the Quarter Final. Miroslav KLOSE the previous Goal hunter once again fired that is the first goal for Germany after 20 minutes. Then Lukas Pedolski got the target in 32nd minute. Matt UPSON of England returned one 5 minutes after this and it is end of the first half. In Second Half Thomas Mueller lead Germany in to last Eight, the Quarter Final, with his double goal in 67th and 70th. Lampard taken a beautiful shot from the edge of the penalty box and it is underside of the cross bar and bounced down after the goal line but referee ruling that is not crossed the line.

Ghana win over America by 2-1, Kevin Prince BOATENG made the breakthrough for Ghana Just after 5 minutes. After the half time break, Landon DONOVAN had found the target in a penalty kick and match was draw. After the full time a special extra time of 20 minutes is given, Asamoah GYAN utilized this chance in 3rd minute to score the second goal for Ghana. And it brings them in to the Quarter final and USA out of the match.

Uruguay wins over Korea Republic by 2-1 and become the first team in this world cup who entering the Quarter Final. The Double goal scorer Luis SUAREZ made the breakthrough for Uruguay just after 8 minutes and once again before 10 minutes to the stoppage time. LEE Chung Yong of Korea returned one in 68th minute but it is not enough for Koreans.
