There was a dispute in the appointment of Kazi (Local Judge) between the power full families and Ponnani Makhdhoom Thangal directly intervened to the issue then decided to appoint a Kazhi directly from ponnai authority as solutions to the dispute.
The verses and the Arabic Calendar Year(1678) etched on the main door during the construction of this mosque is well protected and looks as new even today, The Calligraphy works and Craftworks in this mosque needs to draw more attentions from the archeological departments and History students
